Lennox Wood Residential Development

Datum Groundworks delivered the complete groundworks package for 19 housing association homes across four blocks at Lennox Wood.

• Raft slabs and beam-and-block flooring
• Concrete retaining walls
• Foul and surface-water drainage
• Pumping station and attenuation tanks
• Road, footpath and kerbing construction
• Hard and soft landscaping
• Combined service ducting
• Electric vehicle charging points

Challenges

The restricted site presented significant logistical challenges, with limited working space and tightly controlled access. Datum carefully planned and coordinated its programme to ensure that different trades, deliveries and service installations did not impede progress.

Outcome

The £1.19 million package was delivered over 22 weeks. The client’s confidence in Datum’s performance and site team led to the same team being requested for its next development in Chatham.
