Connaught Barracks Residential Development

Datum Groundworks was initially appointed by R M Brookes to deliver the Section 278 works for a 64-home development at Connaught Barracks.

Following the successful delivery of the initial six-week package, Datum’s role was expanded to include the wider groundworks across the development.

Scope of Works

• Section 278 and Section 38 highway works
• Foul and surface-water drainage
• Attenuation tanks
• Utility services
• Kerbing, carriageways and footpaths
• Block paving
• Scaffold mats
• Retaining-wall foundations
• ACO and threshold drainage channels
• Shed bases, lighting bollards and soft landscaping

Outcome

Originally valued at £106,507, the package has grown to more than £1.33 million over almost four years.

The project demonstrates Datum’s ability to build client confidence, respond to changing project requirements and deliver a broad groundworks package across a live residential development.
